Designed by Waters Edge, the newly renovated Rock Valley Pool opened to the public on Monday, June 5, 2023. The redesigned layout transformed a standard L-shaped pool into a versatile outdoor aquatic center with new amenities for swimmers of all ages. The zero-depth entry leisure pool includes spray elements, a water bench, a family slide, and a current channel. The six-lane, 25-meter lap pool has high and low diving boards along with a basketball hoop. Next to the pool is an enclosed body slide with a run-out.

The City of Rock Valley's old pool, in use for over 40 years, leaked more than 30,000 gallons of water each day. This level of leakage strains the water heaters, causing them to malfunction. As a result, the pool was often closed due to low water temperatures.

In 2019, community members formed a volunteer group called Pool Together RV to raise $1.5 million for a new public pool through various fundraising efforts. The group conducted a survey showing that 89% of respondents supported keeping a community swimming pool open. After sharing these findings with the city council, Waters Edge was hired to evaluate the pool and suggest options for its rehabilitation and renovation.

It was determined that the pool would be too costly to repair, so initial concepts were developed. By late 2021, fundraising efforts had raised $1.2 million, and on Tuesday, September 14, Rock Valley residents voted to pass a referendum that would increase property taxes to cover the remaining costs of the project, up to $3.5 million. The pool was closed during the summer of 2022 to begin construction and reopened the following summer.
