The Linwood Park Splash Pad is a pool to splash pad conversion design. The interactive splash pad embraces a “mossy stones” theme with custom Euroflex(R) balls for seating. The centerpiece of the design is a custom spray feature representing a turbine wheel mill originally by Wichita Hydraulic Mills. The original mill was demolished in 1901 but was known as southern Kansas’ first hydraulic mill and to be the largest in the state. Wichita still cherishes its history and contributes the mill to making the city what it is today.

This splash pad is one of twelve aquatic projects the City of Wichita commissioned the Waters Edge team to design. The full project included converting four pools to splash pads, renovating six pools and constructing two new splash pads.
